Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida, is an autonomous tertiary care institute of Government of UP, with a mission to provide affordable health services to all sections of the society and has been envisioned to be in the forefront of providing excellent professional medical education and multi-disciplinary research.
The institute has started MBBS (2019), DNB (2020), College of Nursing(2021), and Paramedical School (2021)Brig. (Dr.) Rakesh Gupta, Director, GIMS called upon the CEO Greater Noida and appraised him about the problems faced by the institute in terms of infrastructure, seepage in basement of the hospital building and other problems of maintenance. Taking note of these issues, he asked ACEO to visit the hospital. In view of this Ms. Medha Roopam (IAS), Additional Chief Executive Officer, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) visited the institute on 08th August, 2023. ACEO visited the complete hospital, including surroundings, and seen all the problems faced by the hospital. She saw the basement 2 of the hospital and showed concern on the massive seepage from the ground, and also the safety of the hospital building. She then convened the meeting in admin office and she was appraised about the progress of the institute, issues related to the 56acres land allotted to GIMS, College project, hospital maintenance, hospital building handover, basement seepage, strengthening the sewer system of outside the premises, hostel for students, city bus service and CSR Funds for hospital. She assured all the assistance to support for improvement of the facilities.
